Scott MacKay is the Founder of MacKay Law LLC where he focuses his practice on corporate, commercial, and financial matters. Mr. MacKay is a practical business lawyer who is skilled at developing creative and effective legal solutions that enable his clients to pursue and achieve their business objectives. He has a wide range of experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing acquisitions, sales, credit facilities, and other commercial transactions for companies that range from early stage enterprises to large, publicly traded corporations.
Mr. MacKay enjoys working with start-ups and frequently counsels entrepreneurs on the legal issues associated with starting, organizing, financing, and growing a new business.
Mr. MacKay is experienced in addressing the many legal issues associated with the development of new and emerging technologies. He regularly represents website and software developers, software as a service providers, mobile app developers, and other technology companies in a wide variety of matters.
Mr. MacKay has an MBA in Management/Finance and has served as in-house General Counsel to two companies. This experience and training provide Mr. MacKay with valuable insight and perspective in thinking like an “insider” to provide the Firm’s clients with practical and cost-effective legal solutions.
